After dealing with my brakes squeaking for a year, I brought my car in to Honest-1 for a brake change. Turns out, my brakes are just squeaky, whether it be because of the material of the brake pad, dust, or moisture in the air. Rather than being dishonest for a quick buck and just changing the brake pads, the workers at Honest-1 told me there was plenty of life left in my current pads. They scuffed up the pads (which helped the squeaking significantly), then didn't charge me a dime for any of the work they did. I went in expecting to pay a couple hundred bucks, and left with my problem solved at no cost to me. Awesome service by truly honest workers. Thanks, guys!

Very nice receptionist. He helped me put my hubcaps on and refused to take a tip. He was in good spirits and very nice.

Timely and very professional with AAA discount

When we had our catalytic converter stolen in the parking lot of the Ramada by Wyndham Portland we called two repair shops to get it repaired in order to drive home which is a 3-hour drive. One shop quoted an exorbitant amount and Honest-1 quoted a much lower amount. I called to ask about the part they would be installing and he assured me that it is a new cat not a used one and explained that they cannot buy used ones (makes sense to me, actually as you could be buying back your old catalytic converter in some sort of shady underground scheme). We brought it in and the work was completed in about 4 1/2 hours due to a mix up on the receiver gasget which was the wrong one, an honest mistake. They submitted their paperwork, pictures and detailed bill to the insurance company themselves saving us untold time and possibly hassles with the insurance company. Aaron even volunteered to talk to the insurance company personally, but wasn't necessary as it hadn't been assigned to an adjuster yet. I am a former (honest) auto mechanic and based on what I experienced I would take my own vehicle there if I ever needed any repairs.

Service was quick. Got the job done. But car was full of cigarette smoke when my wife got in to drive the car. She has asthma and is hypersensitive to smoke. It can send her to the hospital. Weather was cold, but she was forced to drive with all windows open to clear the smoke and avoid having an asthma event. Please ask workers not to smoke in the car.
